Job Title Assistant Professor, Computer and Information Sciences
Job Summary

The Department Computer and Information Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position beginning January 2018 or August 2018. Candidates should be equally adept at teaching both introductory computer science courses for majors and non-majors, as well as upper-level advanced computer science theory and applications courses. Strengths in teaching, research, service and working with undergraduate research are necessary. The candidate’s record of advising and mentoring undergraduates will be strongly considered. The ideal candidate would have particular interest in data science, computer graphics, networking, cybersecurity and/or information assurance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

All candidates are expected to have a demonstrated interest in liberal arts and sciences education, be able to contribute effectively to undergraduate teaching, mentoring and advising, assist in curriculum development, provide service to the department and College, as well as be active in scholarly, creative, and/or research productivity appropriate to a liberal arts environment.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related discipline with previous teaching experience is preferred.
